auto/pdepath-days: short courses on numerical continuation with AUTO and PDEPATH"

September 20-21 2016, Uni Bremen, room MZH 1470

Registration is free and handled by Ebba Feldman (ebba@math.uni-bremen.de)
A donation for coffee will be collected onsite.

The course is targeted at people with some background in ODE and bifurcation theory who are interested in learning basics to use the software in practice.

Accomodation: Some options are GastHaus Bremen, Hotel Heinisch, Hotel Bölts am Park, 7Things.

Prerequisite: Software for the day(s) you participate installed and running on a laptop with wireless internet brought to the course.
Uni Bremen has eduroam -- if you do not have eduroam please contact Ebbe Feldmann.

News for those who have a laptop, but did not manage to get auto to run or do not have matlab:
You can get a guest account with access to a server installation via ssh. For this please inform Ebba Feldmann.

Matlab is required, the pdetoolbox is not needed for the course, but useful if available. The website links to documentation and demos.
The steps to install and check:
For AUTO:
For installation information see here. In case of problems:
some older installation tips; plotting has to work, though 3D is not required, nor is the gui. See here for a check.
